The Beekeeping Path runs entirely within the territory of Montà and overlaps in some of its parts with the S1, the great "Sentiero del Roero" that runs along the entire ridge of the Rocche, the geological phenomenon that characterizes the area.
Its signage is completed by a narrative of display panels that illustrate the many relationships of the bee with the environment: from the plant species for which it acts as a precious pollinator, to its predators, to the raiders of its sweet product.
Beekeeping is a historical presence in the Roero area, and especially in the "villages of the Rocche", thanks to the morphology, the nature of the land, the climate and the very rich flora (950 species are registered). But above all, it is the presence in Montà of two ciabòt with masonry apiaries unique in Europe and directly attributable to the dawn of modern beekeeping that makes this Path special.
